About Paige Whiteley
Her formal training began with a Diploma in Counselling from Joseph Priestley College, which qualified her as a therapist in 2011, followed by a BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Leeds Beckett University in 2014. She later completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Supervision at UCLAN and has qualified as an EMDR practitioner and as a coaching practitioner. In addition, she holds a postgraduate certificate in psychosexual therapy.
Early in her career she combined ongoing training with a year working in a school with children aged 5 to 11, providing one-to-one therapeutic support and delivering workshops for school staff to strengthen relationships among pupils. She also has three years of experience supporting adults aged 18 and over within an organisational mental health setting, working with presentations that included trauma, loss and bereavement, fertility challenges, relationship difficulties, depression and anxiety, abuse, and family problems.
For twelve years she worked with a South Yorkshire based mental health charity, offering support to adults experiencing trauma and completing further training in trauma-related areas during that time. She now runs a private practice based in Tingley. Paige is committed to creating a safe and personal therapeutic environment that fosters a strong working relationship, enabling people to explore their thoughts and work through anxiety, depression, trauma, and other life difficulties.
