About Heather Oddy

Heather Oddy is an accredited CPCAB Counsellor/Psychotherapist with an integrative training that weaves together Person-Centred work, Transactional Analysis (TA), Gestalt approaches and psychodynamic theory. Her CPCAB accreditation represents a recognised qualification in counselling and psychotherapy, and she complements this foundation with ongoing professional development in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Psycholinguistics, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and work with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

In addition to counselling qualifications, Heather is a qualified healer through the Healer Practitioner Association International (HPAI) and has trained in the Rewind Technique with the International Association for Rewind Trauma Therapy (IARTT). These additional modalities are used alongside talking therapies to address traumatic or distressing past experiences that are affecting a person’s well-being and day-to-day quality of life.

Heather adapts her therapeutic approach to suit each individual, building a collaborative professional relationship that supports clients to explore their concerns and work toward their own resolutions. She has experience supporting people with a range of issues, including generalized anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, stress, loss and bereavement, emotional and physical abuse, and individuals who suspect they may have ADHD. Heather also lists a broad set of specialisms that inform her practice, such as anxiety, grief, low self-esteem and confidence, relationship difficulties, post-traumatic stress, postnatal depression, obsessive compulsive tendencies, infertility-related distress and a variety of health-related concerns.

Heather continues to expand her knowledge within holistic and evidence-informed frameworks and receives monthly clinical supervision while working within the legal framework of the NCPS. Her combined training and clinical oversight support a flexible, person-centred approach tailored to each client’s needs.

Therapists and licensed professionals offer these remote options, and clients are free to change therapists if they feel a different fit would be better. For many, online therapy provides a practical, accessible route to consistent therapeutic support.
