About Dana Teeter
Much of Dana's background is in school-based counseling and social work, where she spent a decade supporting children and adolescents. She has extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, childhood trauma, identity and self-esteem concerns, interpersonal skills, and emotional regulation. In addition to direct clinical work, she has written individual education programs (IEPs), 504 plans, behavior intervention plans, and measurable goals for students with ADHD, and has collaborated with school staff and families to put those plans into practice.
Dana also brings lived experience as a parent of two sons diagnosed with ADHD, a perspective she blends with her professional training to support families navigating similar challenges. She works with adults and families as well as youth, helping people assess what is weighing them down, build emotional self-regulation skills, and develop practical plans for improved mental health and functioning.
Outside of traditional therapy methods, Dana emphasizes holistic practices that support mental wellness. She integrates techniques such as yoga-informed exercises, breath work, progressive muscle relaxation, and movement-based strategies into treatment when helpful. She is Yogafit certified, a Revelation Wellness instructor, and holds a black belt in Taekwondo, and she uses education about neuroplasticity and mind-body connections to empower clients toward sustainable growth.

Could Remote Therapy Be a Good Fit for You?
Online therapy offers a practical option for people seeking help with everyday mental health concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or life transitions. For many common issues, remote therapy has been shown to be comparable in effectiveness to traditional in-person care, making it a viable choice for people who prefer or need flexible access to support. One major benefit of online therapy is flexibility. Individuals can meet with licensed professionals in the format that works best for them - video calls, phone sessions, live chat, or text-based messaging. This flexibility can make it easier to fit services around work, family responsibilities, and other commitments.
Licensed therapists bring established clinical approaches to online work, and individuals may be able to change therapists if they seek a different fit. For many people, virtual sessions provide a convenient way to engage in therapeutic work while maintaining continuity of care and focusing on skills, coping strategies, and personal growth.
